The newly created Gonzaga University Grotto links College Hall and St. Al’s Church both physically and spiritually. Passion for Mother Mary, inspiration from Fr. Tony Lehmann and philanthropic support from Guy (’60) and Madeline Ossello, with Steve Ossello (’86), Chris Wrolstad (’86) and several other alumni donors all combined to develop this new sacred space for prayer. Dedication of the grotto took place Oct. 20, 2012, during Zagapalooza.
